Bayview Seniors Community was proud to welcome families, healthcare professionals, neighbours, and local leaders to our recent Open House in White Rock.
Among our special guests were White Rock Mayor Megan Knight and City Councillor Elaine Cheung, who joined us to tour our community, meet our team, and learn more about the compassionate long-term care and memory care services we provide every day.
Our Open House was an opportunity to open our doors to the community, answer questions about senior care, and give visitors an authentic look at life at Bayview.
A Meaningful Opportunity to Connect
Throughout the afternoon, guests explored our beautiful community, toured resident spaces, met members of our leadership team, and learned more about the personalized approach that defines Bayview Seniors Community.
Mayor Knight and Councillor Cheung took the time to meet with staff, learn about our care philosophy, and experience firsthand the warm, welcoming environment that residents and families enjoy.
Following the Open House, Councillor Cheung shared her experience, describing the visit as a wonderful opportunity to tour the community, meet the friendly staff, and learn more about the services and amenities available at Bayview.

Showcasing Our Innovative Dining Program
One of the highlights of the Open House was our dining program. After learning more about our culinary approach, Councillor Cheung shared that one of the most fascinating parts of her visit was discovering Bayview’s innovative focus on healthy dining. She noted that many menu items are prepared to be up to 88% fat free, including our specially developed fibre-based ice cream that offers a healthier alternative while still tasting delicious.
We take tremendous pride in our dining program because we know that great food plays an important role in health, comfort, and quality of life.
Led by our Red Seal Executive Chef, our culinary team prepares fresh meals on-site every day, carefully balancing nutrition, flavour, and residents’ individual needs. Every meal is designed to nourish both body and spirit while creating meaningful opportunities for residents to gather and connect.
