We are currently seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and results-driven individual to fill our temporary full-time role of Sales Manager at Bayview Seniors Community in White Rock, BC.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for supporting occupancy by managing enquiries, conducting tours, guiding prospective residents and their families through the admissions process, and building strong relationships within the community. This role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience while helping families navigate the transition into long-term care, memory care, respite care, and palliative care.
This temporary position provides coverage for an employee leave and is focused exclusively on sales, admissions, occupancy, and community outreach.
KEY DUTIES
- Responds promptly to telephone, email, website, and walk-in enquiries from prospective residents and families.
- Conducts professional and personalized tours of the community, highlighting Bayview’s accommodations, care services, amenities, and lifestyle.
- Provides compassionate guidance and education to families throughout the decision-making and admissions process.
- Implements successful sales practices, including enquiry management, creative follow-up, lead documentation, CRM management, and pipeline tracking to achieve occupancy goals.
- Maintains accurate records of prospective residents, referral sources, tours, follow-up activities, and sales opportunities.
- Coordinates admission documentation and supports resident arrivals and transitions into the community.
- Collaborates with the General Manager, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth and welcoming move-in experience.
- Participates in weekly management team meetings.
- Organizes and produces weekly and monthly sales and occupancy reports as required.
- Ensures residence aesthetics are maintained, including daily walk-throughs and presentation of show suites and common areas.
- Develops and nurtures relationships with community partners, including hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, senior centres, pharmacies, social workers, home health providers, retirement communities, places of worship, realtors, and other key stakeholders.
- Represents Bayview Seniors Community at networking events, community presentations, health fairs, and outreach opportunities.
- Maintains ongoing communication with referral partners to strengthen community relationships and generate new enquiries.
- Supports front-line staff in managing off-hours enquiries and customer service matters as required.
- Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure an exceptional experience for residents, families, and prospective clients.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Completion of secondary education; post-secondary education in sales, business administration, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in sales, preferably within senior living, healthcare, hospitality, retirement living, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to achieve occupancy and sales targets.
- Experience managing customer relationships through CRM or database management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing community partnerships and referral relationships is considered an asset.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of consultative sales practices, lead generation, customer relationship management, and community outreach.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, community partners, and referral sources.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of the senior living industry and the needs of seniors and their families is considered an asset.
